The information below applies to the 2-year Outdoor Adventure Program. If you are applying to the Outdoor Adventure Naturalist Co-op Program, go to this web page.
As per Part I of Eligibility and Selection, a Letter of Intent, Resume and two Letters of Reference
are key elements of your application. For applicants who apply before February 1, the equal opportunity
date for submitting documentation is no later than May 13th, 2011. However, if an applicant has submitted all documentation before that date, they may receive an earlier letter of admission.
For those applying after the February
1 deadline, please submit within 3 weeks of receiving your Admissions package or submit online below. Late applicants
should call the program coordinator with any questions regarding deadlines or extensions.
Letters of Reference: We also require two (2) reference letters from people (such as a camp counsellor, ski instructor, coach,
etc.) who can support your Letter of Intent and provide us with another perspective of you as a candidate
for the Outdoor Adventure Program. Family members cannot act as your reference.
Please direct the two people who you think can provide a good insight into your skills and abilities
to the page that contains both an online reference form and a printable version of the reference letter. Or they can submit a typed response
separately, as per the directions in the Applicant’s Handbook - see link below. The online form is the preferable
means of submission.
APPLICANT'S HANDBOOK (from home page). This contains additional information regarding the Resume, Letter of Intent and Reference Letters as well as costs, policies, dates, and other important information.
LETTER OF INTENT ON-LINE SUBMISSION FORM
We want to know more about you and why you want to take Algonquin College’s Outdoor Adventure program. Please use the online form below to respond to each of the points and include specific details and examples.
If you wish, the letter of intent can also be typed and submitted separately, as per the directions in the Applicant’s Handbook. The online form is the preferable means of submission.
