| Nadine McInnis, is the author of one book of literary criticism, Poetics of Desire, one book of short fiction, Quicksilver, and five books of poetry, Shaking the Dreamland Tree, The Litmus Body, Hand to Hand, First Fire / Ce feu qui devore, and Two Hemispheres, which was shortlisted for two national awards. Her next book of short fiction, Blood Secrets, will appear in 2011. She’s published widely in magazines in Canada and is a past winner of a CBC literary award and the Ottawa Book Award. She joined the faculty of Algonquin College in 2006, after working as a policy analyst in the federal government where she focused on the publishing industries in Canada. |
Nathan Greenfield is a noted military historian and the author of the books The Battle of the St. Lawrence and Baptism of Fire: The Second Battle of Ypres and the Forging of Canada, April , 1915, as well as co-author of the textbook Canadian Business Writing: A Structual Approach. He has published hundreds of book reviews and articles for many publications, including The Globe and Mail, The Ottawa Citizen and The Times Literary Supplement. He also has more than twenty years of experience as a professor of English at Algonquin College. His next book, The Damned: The Canadians at the Battle of Hong Kong and the POW Experience 1941-45, will appear in 2010.

| Moira Farr is a writer and editor whose essays, reviews and features articles have appeared in numerous publications, including The Walrus, Toronto Life, Ottawa, Chatelaine, Canadian Geographic and The Globe and Mail. Her first book, After Daniel: A Suicide Survivor’s Tale was shortlisted for a number of awards. She contributed a chapter to The Bigger Picture: Elements of Feature Writing (Emond Montgomery, 2008). She is co-editor of Cabin Fever: The Best New Canadian Non Fiction, published in 2009 by Thomas Allen. She is currently working on a novel, and various feature assignments. |
| Ian Roy is the author of the books The Longest Winter, Red Bird, and the short story collection, People Leaving. The latter was short-listed for both the City of Ottawa Book Award and the Upper Canada Writers’ Craft Award. Ian’s writing has appeared in magazines and journals across Canada. He has been teaching at Algonquin College since 2008. |
Krista Costanza is a working graphic designer who teaches the basics of layout and InDesign to Professional Writing students. She is a graduate of Algonquin College’s Graphic Design program and currently works at several jobs, all using InDesign, and has professionally produced many kinds of printed and web-based documents. She says, “While school is great, it's really just practice in the end. I'm just here to prep you for the real world and give you that extra skill that sets you apart from the rest”. |
