Int'l Education Centre Part-time Studies Full-time Programs
Welcome Newcomers to Canada
LINC is a FREE English language training program for newcomers to Canada.  It is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.  Algonquin College offers full-time (day) classes.
Linc students must be:
1. Landed Immigrants or Convention Refugees
2. Able to show proof of Ontario address
3. Adults, older than school-leaving age
Admission Process
Make an appointment with the Language Assessment and Resource Centre. Bring your immigration papers to the appointment. You will do a test. Tell the Centre that you would like to attend LINC at Algonquin College.

The Centre will register you in a class at Algonquin College.  Bring your assessment papers to our office at Algonquin College (Room B442).  If the classes are full, the Centre will put you on a waiting list.  The LINC Coordinator will phone you when there is a place in the class for you.

LINC Bridging: 
Monday to Friday
8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
This program has been created for LINC students who have successfully completed LINC 5B at Algonquin College or who have received high Assessment Benchmarks and been referred by the Centre.

State-of-the-art computer lab (Multimedia Language Lab).
