As one of the largest Colleges in Ontario, Algonquin College is committed to doing its part to ensure the Province has the skilled workforce required to grow our economy and to address the needs of the communities it serves.
Today’s knowledge economy sustains itself on the development of a skilled and motivated workforce. Last fall, Algonquin College was proud to welcome over 8,000 new students. Unfortunately, the College can accommodate only one-sixth of the applications it receives. With a looming shortage of skilled workers on the horizon, Algonquin College believes the solution lay in finding more spaces for the 39,000 qualified applicants eager for a college education but for whom there is not enough capacity.
