Hire Me! Reaching Higher! Youth Employment Program in Pembroke-Next Intake in the summer 2012

This youth employment preparation program will begin in early July in Pembroke and will support ten youth between the ages of 15 to 30 who are looking for a job. Participants are paid an hourly rate to participate in four weeks of employment preparation workshops, receive several industry recognized safety certifications, and experience an 8-week paid job placement with a local employer.The program has been very beneficial for past participants. Information Session on Wednesday, May 23rd at 1 p.m. at our Skills Link office at 141 Lake Street in downtown Pembroke.

Official Opening of Summer Jobs Service office-April 20, 2012

Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski officially opened the Summer Jobs Service office at Algonquin College's Pembroke Campus.  This summer the program will support more than 150 employers and 400 high school, college and university students secure summer jobs in Renfrew County.

Wisdom Workers Program Supports Workers over 55 years of age-Next Intake in mid-May, 2012

Older workers who need help finding employment or upgrading their skills to gain employment on their own can take advantage of our Wisdom Workers program. We offer free computer training, help with resumes, workshops that support employment preparation and industry recognized certifications that are attractive to employers.
