Passport to Prosperity

Welcome to Passport to Prosperity.

Employers play an important role in helping young people make the transition from school to work. Passport to Prosperity is a provincially funded program that helps make the link between employers and school boards, as they work together to create work place learning experiences for students.

Each year hundreds of students in Renfrew County participate in programs like co-operative education, the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program and Dual Credits.  You can learn more on the Employer Registry, a provincial web site that includes information on business-school partnerships right here in Renfrew County.

Each year, Passport to Prosperity celebrates Employer Champions---employers that go beyond the call of duty to support student learning through on the job work place experiences. In Pembroke, there have been two provincial employer champions in recent years, the Pembroke Regional Hospital and TV Cogeco.
