Older Workers Program
(Wisdom Workers)
Older workers between the ages of 55 and 64 are becoming a growing segment of the labour market. These individuals come with many skills from previous work or life experiences, however some struggle with finding employment because they aren't sure how to go about approaching an employer about a job, or they are unsure of their abilities and what positions they would be eligible for.

Through our Wisdom Workers Program, we offer:
-
- Counselling support to help older workers build a plan to re-enter the workforce
-
- Guidance and mentoring to assist with job searching
-
- Help with resumes and cover letters
-
- Assistance with computer applications including keyboarding, e-mail and web searching
-
- Helpful workshops (one-on-one and group) to better prepare individuals for employment.
-
Example: Interview preparation, accessing the hidden job market, etc.
Note: Financial support is available to some participants to help cover re-training costs, living expenses, and on the job training opportunities with an employer.
