MENTOR CRITERIA

 Mentors will be selected for the COME project based on a number of different criteria.

Mentors Should:

• match the profession / occupation and, if possible, location of mentees destination
• have sufficient basic computer skills to operate in the e-mentoring environment
  (NB: some basic support will be provided in the form of an online tutorial and tutor)
• be wiling to spend a minimum of 24 hours over a six month period engaged in the mentor-mentee relationship 

• The mentor-mentee relationship established through the COME Program is a six month relationship with no obligation to extend it beyond that.  The agreed upon time spent on the actual relationship itself is a minimum of 24 hours over that six month period.  Any relationship beyond the six month time period is solely up to the individuals involved and is outside the scope of the program
