How to get Involved

Interested in getting involved? Here are some great ways you can participate!

Events:
  • Student Writing Contest - open for all Algonquin students, to submit a creative or critical piece inspired by this year's book - read all contest details on Student Contest

Volunteer
We're always looking for people to help organize and set up events. The long list of amazing people who've already helped out are listed on our Volunteers page.

If you have an idea for Algonquin Reads, how you, your department, or your students could participate in Algonquin Reads, we would love to hear it! The whole idea around Algonquin Reads is to bring the Algonquin college community together, to read, discuss ideas, and have fun together!

To date, we have provided story material for the Journalism students for Algonquin Times, participated in Current affairs program for the Broadcasting students, created workshops for bookbinding that was attended by Applied Museum Studies students, Library Technician students, faculty and staff and hosted an author reading, that saw participation from the Professional writing students, Business students, Library Technician students, staff and faculty.

Donate
We can always use funds to help keep the campaign alive. The wonderful people and organizations that have already chosen to support the campaign are listed on our Sponsors page. If you are interested in donating to this worthy cause, please email us
